I just wanted to share my recent experience with a top notch sheetmetal shop in Indiana.
I recently bought a SelVend SS-64 7 up machine. Not the most glamourous machine but a good one for me to learn on. It has (or was supposed to) 8 shelves that hold 8 bottles a piece. The thing only has 2 of its original 8 shelves.
Since I work for a manufacturer, we had a shop in Greenwood, Indiana that does a lot of prototype work for us. This includes sheetmetal, laser/plasma cutting, forming, punching, milling, machining, EDM wiring, etc.
I sent them one shelf to model from and well, the results are in the photos. I have the old one and a new one side by side for comparison. These guys nailed it. They used the same original galvanized material, same thickness, got every bend perfect, even punched the holes I told them they didn't need to mess with.
These guys went way above and beyond. It took them less than a week to get them back to me. They restore old vehicles on the side and appreciate vintage things. So if any of you folks need parts duplicated, give these guys a shout.
Special and sincere thanks to:
