What size or R-value works best in an 81- also, is there a certain width that makes sense to use?

I just use standard unfaced insulation . I believe it's R-34. Than I just thin it down to get a nice snug fit with the liner. I get the the 24 inch wide rolls at Home Depot for around $20.
