I seem to see a lot of popcorn warmers in collector circles but I guess I've missed the weiner warmers.  biggrin

Price is crazy but it would sure look cool polished up and in use at a party.

Is this one of those hot dog cookers that cook the hot dog by passing electricity through it?

I believe it is - my parents had the "home" version of that tool.  It seemed to basically steam the hot dogs from the ends in.  Neat concept, not very tasty.   tounge

We had this one:

Speaking of using electricity and food. A neat thing to do is take a pickle and hook it up to 120 volts and it will glow. It's not the safest thing to do but it is kind of cool.

My parents had one also, any dogs cooked with it tasted metalic YUK. The cooker I'd like to have is the old ferris wheel style. there are some new ones out but they don't last like the old ones.

Yeah - I remember the ends of the hot do getting super dry and tough and ... well... electrocuted.  As kids my sister and I always wanted to use it, but just because of the 'cool' factor.   The taste was "blech" and my mom hated to use it because some of the hot dogs would break before you could bend them to jam them on the electrodes.
