This is one night my insomnia paid off...  Came across this by sheer luck last night at 1:00am, while thumbing through local craigslist.
Picked it up this morning 17 miles from my house!  Cleaned up nice with a little windex!    Now to find a key?Huh?
I know its a national, but can you guys help with a year??  Cig price is .30 cents a pack.  matches .1 cent

.30 a pack... I never smoked but the cheapest I remember is just about a $1.75 a pack.

Good pickup, are you going to fabricate a base or try to find one... that may be take many more nights.

National 9 pull popular from the 40's on.  I have the 7 pull version.  You are missing the base.  They are cool machines but because they are column vend machines, it is difficult to find stuff that will vend from the machines.  I have seen one don up to dispense candy cigarettes and it looked great.  You can still get those online from the vintage candy sites.

I will keep an eye out for a base, but it would not be too difficult to fabricate one.
At a price that had less then 3 digits  jawdrop a machine this clean and complete I will but every time!  Just wish I would have been there a day earlier to get the candy machine he had also   censored

Any Ideas about where to find a KEY for this?   The lock has "ACE" and ACE-FLEX" on it but no numbers.

Somebody else will correct me if I am wrong but I think you will either have to drill the lock and replace it or have a locksmith pick it and cut a custom key for you.  I think the drill and replace route will be more cost effective.  When the lock opens, the top of the front leans out away from the machine and the entire face of the machine can be lifted off for servicing the vending stack.  The vending stack is on a hinge and will lean out for easier access but be careful.  Sometimes the hinge that allows the vending stack to lean out of the machine is either broken or it can come out of the track and you will have a vending rack in your lap.

Good luck--nice looking machine and it sounde like the price was right.

I have the same machine. Its locked away in an outbuilding and its dark now.
If nobody chirps in I'll get out there tomorrow with a measuring rule...

Flex ace locks are locks designed to easily change the key code. It will be almost impossible to find the right key. You can change the code by purchasing a new coder but it wouldn't do you any good as you need the original key to change the combination.
