S and s quikold 3000-wd2

i aquired this cooler the other day,its in really nice shape,not sure if this is the model,just what i gathered from your site,the machine is almost all there,save one back panel,pepsi logo is embossed twice on the front and on both ends,i`ve never saw the pepsi logo in this configuration before.the cooler is wet/dry and feels like it weighs a ton,almost 8 feet long,i`m wondering about the sale-ability of this item as it appears to be in very nice shape with very little rust,a fella high balled me an estimate of 2500-4000 as for a sale value,a collegue of his down the road said 75 bucks.quite a variation,i found your site on Google and was hoping some on here could give me some advice as i`ve not much knowledge of this item and would like to know how saleable it is,i do have some pics for those who are interested in viewing it.thanks

The guy who quoted you a value of $2500-$4000............Is that the guy who sold it to you?
      Truth is the machine is big and heavy, takes up a lot of room and requires a lot of cooling.  It needs a home with the Boy Scouts or the Elks Club.  Just not suitable for home use.

i never paid a dime for this.i think yhe guy who quoted me was thinking along the lines of some sort of pub or eatery,i`ve saw lifestock troughs used on patio bars.this thing is alot more attractive,though around closing time at the bar alot of the patrons are usually acting pretty piggy anyways:D

I agree with Moondawg, in the world of soda machines, bigger isn't better, larger machines are harder to sell , due to (as stated prior by moondawg.), their size & weight , nobody wants to lug an +600lb machine down a set of basment stairs, let alone one thats over 6 feet in length, a local here in Clarkston, Michigan ( howdee neighbor!) had a S&S 3000/Pepsi for sale & got he got $275 for it, it was a straight solid machine, dry type chest cooler with four sliding doors on top, ran well, & lots of embossing... everybody loved it , except when they stoped to consider where it might fit in the home...so unless it's a roll-top Victor/ chest, it'll take a special buyer to move it along. but , I'd consider it a "Patio" or "Deck" cooler, unless they've got a big walk out basement hey, on the bright side it'd hold a couple of cases of Molson/6.2  Ehh? or a couble of kegs & a tap, you'd be in business!..un-oh! stop me now! I'm starting to get Idea's again.. :'>

so john,would i be better off just pulling the buttons off the sides and front and selling them individually,then take the rest to the scrap yard so they can make it into a toyota SUV

Post a Picture & let's have a look-see at beast in question, if it's solid & straight, you could probably sell it , & in so far as customs in Winsor/Detroit is concerned if you sell it to someone in the U.S. & have to ship/transport it over the border, (check the manufactures tag to be sure) they shouldn't try to get you on a duty/tariff, (that's a another word for "tax" to you people who aren't used to dealing with  with customs in Canada) as it's going back to it's country of orgin. & besides I'm curious as to what it looks like! I might need a Patio cooler.  :'>

these pics aren`t the best as i just took them,i`ll take some better ones when i get it off my truck,after i round up a cpl more strong ppl.a bar manager about 3 blocks from where i picked it up just offered me 400 for it,but he won`t need it till the spring.i may have lucked out with him actually,seems he was middle management at the Pepsi distributor in london at one time.he was saying the "lifers" at pepsi(c.e.o.`s) go bananas over these type of things.says he can put me in contact with some ppl there as well if i want.he said when he was with the company they bought one for a senior exec for a good buck that was nowhere near in as good a shape as this one and spent tons of dough,company funds i`m sure,getting parts custom made by metal fabricators.i might just store it for awhile,who knows,i think i`m getting attached to the thing.i`m sure there aren`t alot around,you fellas don`t even have a pic of one here.i can remember 10 yrs ago when i use to see mountains of claw foot bath tubs and piles of 350 chev 4 bolt mains around,they were a dime a dozen,good luck finding either at a cheap price that ain`t totally whipped these days,around here at least.

i told g/f i was gonna throw it in the bathroom and convert it into that Jacquzi tub she`s been bugging for

oh,and by the way john,this is a labatt town,john labatt`s first brewery was here,not molson :'>

Well! that's one nice looking cooler!, I'm glad you got a nibble for your bar owner buddy, I really like this era of Pepsi graphics! your friend with ties to Pepsi, would know more, but I'm guessing mid fifties just around the "be sociable-have a Pepsi" slogan era, again, very nice! ( don't tempt me to drive over the bridge to come & get it from you,   )

Hi do you still have this machine? I like the bigger machines because noone else seems to want them.  I just got a quikold 3000 Barq's machine and I love it. They are not really that heavy believe it or not. From what I've learned most of these machines could have had 1 or 2 logos on the front. What do you plan on doing with it? by the way leave it like it is. It looks great in that condition to me, not woth spending a bunch of money on something that has a few scratches.
