Important Note: Cord is crushed/severed so can't confirm it cools/run.
Unrestored original kept inside persons home since early 1980's, prior to that it was in JC Penny's breakroom.
Thank You for your input!

I went 1200-1400, but only because of the unknown cooling. To me a machine is worth a lot more if the cooling capability is intact. I'd suggest wiring in a $10 replacement cord (even if only temporary) from the hardware store so you can possibly say "cools and vends but should have wiring replaced".

I'd say $1400.00 if it can't be confirmed if it cools. If it cools I'd have no problem paying the $1600 to $1800 range. My thinking is I purchased my 72, a nice original for $1700 from another member but it had to cool for that price. After confirming it cooled and ran I purchased the machine. I'll give him credit for plugging it in, when we loaded it the cord completely disintegrated but I knew it would have to be rewired anyway's.

I'm at 1000.00 - 1200.00. Since the cooling system is in question...
Cav 72s don't seem to bring much around my area.

Asumming it cools that's a nice machine. The $1,500 range is great for a buy, that machine could bring in $2,500 if you were to sell.

I'd show up after they are nearly done packing and are tired and don't want to move one more thing and then show her 1500 cash. It'll be yours!

1900 and she won't budge. She let me walk away with 1750 in my hand showing it to her. It's not running either because of cord severed.

Should of just paid the extra $150. That machine is it. I can see walking at difference of $300-$500 but not $150.

I have to agree with Slapshot unless you were looking to flip it. I probably would have given in for the extra $150.00 but I like the 72's.

$1900 and you won't budge!! It's a clean original that will save you thousands in restoration costs. She knows what she has and that's all there is to it. It's ok to hang up on someone if they do something offensive!! Its for sale, not on sale or fire sale. I went into a shop yesterday and he was selling fixer upper machines for $2000-4000- I mean a vendo 56 that needed a full restoration that was missing the coin mech for $3800.... Vendo 81's for 2500--- NO COIN DOOR or mech. He said he can't keep them in stock or get them fast enough hence the crazy asking prices!

Agree, that's a $1900 machine all day long. Get back over there before they figure out there is room in the truck. Then it is gone forever. Creighton
