Let's just leave it at some are not very friendly and down right mean to new posters.
Could not believe how bad I just got beat up on another board. I can't spell worth a darn and this other board was lacking a spell check function.
Woulda thunk I asked how much for their women. Jees...

Thanks to all on here for that. I've tried some other sites and as a relative newbie and the way you're treated, it's enough to make you question whether or not it's a hobby you want to get into. I truly appreciate the wealth of knowledge that you guys have to offer, with the occasional smart-ass comment thrown in for fun. Thanks again guys for making the hobby enjoyable............

I think this is what differentiates us from other sites. 10 years ago when I did not know what the hell I was doing, there were some very patient fellow board members that helped me out a ton over the years. People like Curtis Kauffman have been very generous with his ideas. Most of us believe this and that is why "newbies" get treated the way that they do. I try to helpful in the areas I have gained a little knowledge
I hope the board continues as such.

As someone who doesn't chime in much, I agree, this site is great. I usually check it out a few times a day and always enjoy what the site has to offer. Everyone seems knowledgeable, friendly and nice. As in real life, I'm a bit of a fly on the wall, so I hope no one minds.

I also have been on other sites that the people with knowledge make fun of people when they ask a question or have a response that is very degrading.
It truly is a pleasure to get up on this site and see people like Johnny, Jim, Pat and so many more that actually should be charging for the information that they are giving out for free and always welcoming new people to the site.
I dont post alot but I get up here everyday just to see what everyone is talking about like I cant wait to see that steam powered Tonka Jeep streaking across the floor.
Also all of the sponsors that make this site possible and Jim who works tirelessly to keep it up and running. A RARE FIND THESE DAYS.
