Successful day on the soda-machine front.

On the VMC 33:  It is all set, the coin mech is back from Arizona (Thanks Tom) and working as good as new.  Smoooooth.  Loaded it with empty bottles, just to play around.  I think that is my boys' favorite machine.  Something about cranking the lever I think - it's more interactive.

On my Glasco slider:   I got that coin mech back from being refurbed (Thanks again Tom!) as well.  I successfully wired in the replacement circulating fan (Thanks Fun-Tronics!) and put the freshly powder-coated bottle rack in place.

On closer inspection, I am less than thrilled with the job the powder-coating guys did on the rack.  I don't know how much work they put into the prep but the heaviest of the rust pitting is showing through the coat.  If I were doing it, I would have skim coated it with some filler to smooth it out, but it is what it is.  They applied the powder coating REALLY thick.  I prefer a lighter coat unless it is something that's going to take a lot of abuse.  They also coated the inside of the hole where the shaft passes through the flapper.  What a PITA to get that cleared out!  Powder coating is seriously tough stuff.

Anyway - that is all done, just needs a little polishing of the stainless for the Glasco and a few missing decals applied to the 33.  The Glasco is SO quiet compared to my Cav 96e!  I will probably switch to it as the 'every day' machine.

Here's a couple of pics of the Glasco - it's not perfect, but it is a nice original with some "character".
