Can anyone tell me what this wire coming out of the door is? The other end of the wire comes out at the the bottom of the machine. Where does this end connect to? help Thanks!

Should be the hot wire to the coin mechanism heater.  Most people disconnect them as they aren't needed.

Your's doesn't look connected so should be okay.

yes it's the heating element that connected to the coin mech... if your restoring it , just remove it.. if your just not restoring and want it gone, you can just clip it off..
