America will never be the same after 8 years of socialism. That is why I love the 1950s so much. What a different country we live in now.

I really don't think i'm making the right choice by putting my opinion down here. But Romney's economic plan would have never gotten us on the right track. Cutting taxes across the board would cost the Gov't so much. And getting rid of deductions would not come near to covering the amount of money from tax cuts. Also, is 2 Trillion dollars of Military spending something we really need?? I just hope we can make some progress of a country and have some legislation passes with out have the opposing parties holding everything up.

Eric, actually, we as Americans, own most of our own debt... not china or japan! The government takes it out of one pocket and puts it in the other.

I am glad I am already pretty fluent in Mandarin Chinese. It will make it easier for me in the long term. We are doomed as a nation. The non productive people have taken over. Read Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. Now it is only a matter of time for the producers decide to start throwing in the towel. There are less and less of us that are paying the freight around here. I am already considering selling my business and retiring.
At least I have my cool stuff from the 1950s.

If you want that to happen than we would need to replace Sen. Harry Reid.

Does anyone else find it interesting that in a hobby where the primary color is RED, most of the members of this board seem to be Republicans? Just an observation from someone with no official politcal party affiliation. Jim

I read a very interesting article over here yesterday in a very right leaning newspaper. It spoke about the fact that the US will change dramatically not because of who was voted in as President but because of population changes and immigration.
As early as 2019 Ethinc Minoritiers under the age of 19 will out number the white population. By about 2060 they will be the majority. Changing the face of what has been the Traditional US with leanings towards the old mother countries (UK, Germany, Italy etc)
The massive change has come about by the huge influx of Hispanics from Mexico and other Lartin American Countries. This will cause issues for The Republican Party who see the white middle class voter as their own. Even with the majority (as it was in this election) onboard they still will not win.
Look for a more left leaning Republican party in the future rather than a shift to the right. Something that has been happening over here in The UK for some time. Both right and left wing politics have tried to take more of the middle ground.
There are pros and cons for this immigration boom.. The one thing it does however wash aside is culture.
In the UK where we have experienced a huge immigration from Eastern Europe amongst other places, over the last fifteen years, it is only in Hollywood now that the old idea of the British Way of life can be found.
"The times, they are a changing"

Rush L pretty much summed it up by saying that the Demos voted for Santa Claus. It's us working taxpayers that will be loading up the sleigh with toys. I gotta tell you, That SUCKS!!

It was also mentioned by a right-leaning talk show host, that by opening the immigration policy cuts both ways. by swinging the demographics "importing" some WASP's from Europe, who in gratitude would be more inclined to vote conservatively now that they've seen the mash-up that open boarder policies cause on your side of the pond. "I can cause accidents too!" WWW my favorite paraphrased quote...Communism (Liberal Santa clauses) works wonders until you run out of other peoples money Oh & within 1-1/2 to 2 years California will implode under the gravitational collapse of the black hole of the gimme-gimmes. oh wait, it has already begun!
