First off, there are no prizes :-) How about we do this year's contest this way:
Pick the winning team, Number of games, Final game score. The tie breaker = Total errors.

So, I have:

Tigers in 6, 3-1, 4

Looks like nobody expected a sweep for either team. Surprising, yet uneventful series!

Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright;
The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light,
And somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout;
But there is no joy in Detroit—  down mighty Miggy has struck out.

He didn't even swing.  In the immortal words of Ernie Harwell, "He stood there like the house on the side of the road!"

A great Tiger team that lost their ability to hit in the World Series.  For some reason, I had the feeling that they were going to lose before the series started but I never expected a sweep by SF.  Oh well, there is always next year.

I'm really surprised.
Thought all the come from behinds would have tuckered out the Giants and the Tigers on good rest would have prevailed.
Course I thought Cards were in so I know nothing :-).
Believe Blind1968 came the closet. Congrats to you sir!!

Huge Tigers fan here, having grown up in Detroit. We were shut out twice all year and then twice in the WS. Not good. Oh well, hats off to the Giants! The ball hit the base, hit the line, hit the seats in left and right a few times and they won! Congrats. Maybe next year for the Tigers. Now only if the Lions could be runner up in the Superbowl! That would be something!!!

Pro sports has changed over the past few years, it's all about getting hot at the right time. It seems the big favorites never come through anymore. It's also all about defense, defense, defense on all sports.
