Has anyone here ever heard of an Acton jr. that is actually a warmer.  According to the owner, the lid is hinged and it has a strap for carrying and was apparently used in a stadium for hotdogs and peanuts. The liner is removable and the heating elements and underneath it.  Never heard of such and was hoping for some info. Sorry, no pics yet

Thanks SMC friends

Haven't heard of such an item but sounds cool. If it looks factory built buy it.
Good luck!!

I vote fantasy piece! Not worth the $350 IMO, but looks cool! Let's see what others think.
No handle to carry by....Is that a leather shoulder strap on top? I bet that metal gets hotter than Hades when juiced.

I would be interested in a pic with the liner out to see the element and wiring.

It screams "Home made" to me. A lot of care went into it, but home made

Wish I had more pictures of it......

Owner stated that he bought it 8 years ago in Nashville,TN and gave $350 for it and is asking $400 for it now. Stated that he bought because had never seen one before and even had a coca cola expert look at it and that person believes that these were more than likely sent off to a company that specialized in modifying these as food warmers.

Out of curiosity, what would this be worth if it were just an Acton Jr Cooler and not a warmer?

It does look cool by all means but what's it worth?

Thanks for all your help guys

If it were to carry around with warm food would it not keep food warm for a while just because it was insulated and be no need to plug it in.

Johnie is correct.  I think Coke and Pepsi stopped diversifying into other food products after their foray into gumball and peanut vendors and carousel horses did not work out as planned! biggrin Cool laugh  Good thing some of those rare items survived though. glare

biggrin  You guys are so right!

I was deceived by the picture at first. Clearly now it is a regular Acton with the lid hinged to the side, probably so a vendor didn't have a lid in his face.

I do agree it looks well made but I think it was done rather recently by the style connector used, and care done restoring it. If it were converted back in the 50's they would have butchered it, as these coolers were so plentiful.

Can't imagine the length extension cord needed for a stadium.  tounge

Yeah! Ha!  biggrin

You forgot their tragic foray into the furniture market with the Coke Standard, Master and Giant series of love-seats, sofas, & couches, and there lesser known "successes" like the Coca~Cola toilet seat.
