I got it all back together....I have lightly cleaned the outside and may decide to take some buffing compound to it....?  The inside is as clean as it was when it left the factory....Only a small amount of rust on the vending unit....Other than that it looks almost as good as new. Only tested it for about 30 minutes or so....It ran quite and dropped the temp to 38 deg....Outside temp was in the high 70's.....Humidity was about 75% outside and it dropped to 64%. Looks like I may have lucked out with this machine....I'll put it to the real test tomorrow....It will run and vend all day long.

It cools down to 30 deg on setting 5 about 32 on 4 and gets there in less 30 minutes...That's with an outside temp about 80.  It cycles as it should and no strange noises. I have my shed wired with outlets but only have a 100 foot drop cord running to it for power....The plug never gets hot where I have it plugged into the house.

The humidity is high....Almost 80%....?  I haven't put any cans in it yet while it's running and there are only a couple of places on the outside of the maching that feels cool to the touch.  No condensation anywhere. The door seal looks good but I may try to adjust the door where it closes alittle tighter.

I took some paint thinner to the paint splatters and they are coming off but it's gonna take awhile....The machine will stay in the shed till we get the kitchen repainted....We won't even start that till after first of the year.

Thank everyone here for all the advice....

Looks so complete now, good job.

It's time to fill it with beer, and patiently wait for the next machine to show up in your driveway.  happydrinkers

Glad you decided to do a major clean up instead of a complete restoration.  I think it looks great and still maintains that vintage look that you lose with a complete restore. Nice job.

Thank Ya'll for the complements....I need to order a lock/key combo and straighten the coin door out some...Other than that it's about done.

Free vend is setup on the return coin button and works well.

I'm keeping my eye out for the next great bargin....I have less than $200 in the 80 as it sits.  Prolly won't find another deal on a working machine that good but U never know.

I may look at getting an old gumball machine to re-do next.....?
