I apologize in advance if this post is a bit "windy". It's just that my ignorance is profound. ':p'

I have a number of questions about the order in which I should tackle the tasks involved in fixing up my Cavalier C-51.  The machine, I think, is in good condition (cosmetically) for its age and do not really want to paint it.  I've linked to some pictures of my machine... Cavalier C-51

The problems that I have, as I see them, are that the machine does not cool and I can't seem to get the coin mechanism to work.

I did plug the machine in and the condensor fan runs, and I think the compressor is turning.  As far as my cooling problem is concerned... the wiring is cracking and appears to be dangerous.  Do the aftermarket wiring harnesses contain ALL the wires I'd need for the compressor and evaporator fan?  Also, the evaporator fan motor seems to be coming "unwound" which makes the fan stick.  Should I rewire the machine, fix the fan motor and then see if the refrigeration system will hold a charge?  I also need to replace the main door seal.

The lower spindles on which the "ammo belt" resides do not turn... I assume they are supposed to turn.  However, the ratchet and upper spindle do turn, so the belt can be advanced.  Are the bearings bad on the lower spindles?  If so, can they be replaced?

My final problem is that when I put a dime in the coin mechanism it simply goes to the coin return.  It never even thinks about going into the cam so that I can turn the crank.

Apparently, the saying that "ignorance is bliss" is not true in this instance.  Thanks for your patience and help.
