Vendo 44 serial number

I have a Vendo 44.  My grandparents left it when they moved out of the house that we just bought.  I have no idea about these machines.  I don't believe it to work.  The model is a 44 and the serial number is 20024A31.  If you can help me understand more about this I would appreciate it.  How old is it?  What is it worth.  I am not going to keep it, so if someone is interested in it please let me know.
