Today a man called me about an ad that I placed in the paper for Coke machines wanted. He wants to sell me 3 machines. The first is a Pepsi vendorlator 110 that he says doesnt cool and is in fair condition. he says it is rusty but still restorable. The second is a Glassco 50 that he says works and is in good condition, and has the rack and coin mech. The third is what I think is a vendo 126 that is in fair condition, and works but doesnt cool. I don't care much for the 126 because it is so tall but he will only sell them together. I havent seen them yet but I am going tomorrow. He wants a total of $200 for all three machines. I wanted to get all of your advice before I go. Even if they are in poor condition should I buy them for parts. $200 seems like a great price. Please let me know.

It's a steal! grab it NOW! or give ME his number! even if it's somewhat rusty the V110/Pepsi ( assuming it's a round corner 50's model) is a HOT machine to get!

Spoon-feeding Newbies since 2001... Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes. Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon! The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor 11 is louder than 10... "Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.

Follow your instinct! GO FOR IT! No shipping charge?
I see $600. to $800 worth of easy to sell parts, but the parts are even worth more to you, if you ever buy a machine that is missing them, (and you will before long)
$200.00 IS A STEAL DUDE! Post us again when you own them

I will do. Unfortunatly I have to bring them home one at a time. Its not too bad it's only about 30 miles. I wish I had a trailer. I will take pics so I can hopefully brag about my find. Thanks again for your help I thought it was a good deal but I had to make sure.

Bring home the 110 Pepsi first (assuming it is a round corner), you never know what can happen...not everyone honors a deal and there are all sorts of sneaky characters out there...

Well I went and got the machines today. The Glasco is in great shape. The only thing wrong with it is it has a small rust hole in the front of the machine, but a welder and some paint will make it new. It is also 100% complete and cools great. The 110 is a different story. It is complete but in pretty bad shape. The bottle door is rather rusty and the loovers on the side are rusted out. I wasn't able to plug it in but I doubt it works. All of the shelves are there and the mech is there. the rest of the machine isn't too bad. With some work it could be restored or would be great for a parts machine. The tall 60's machine turned out to be a vendo 256. he says it works. I left it there but I am going to go get it tomorrow. Ill gut it and scrap the rest. I'll post some pics later tonight when I get them unloaded. But for now how did I do? And does anyone need a Vendorlator 110?

And by the way he says he has some picnic coolers he would get rid of. He didn't say a price but Im sure it won't be much. He said something about a stainless cooler but I wanted to act not interested and talk to you all first. Are they worth anything?

Sounds like you did well..... And parts are everything! Even when they're rough. There's someone that needs something. I'm sure there's someone out there with a perfect 110 shell but the door's smashed in. So the door, mech, shelves, etc. is all worth it. Even the picnic coolers would be worth it... handles, drains, corner guards, trays.... It ain't like you can go out to the store and pick them up.
Good Score! Buy it all while you can... '>

here are some pics. The guy had planned to make something out of the pepsi front so he took the door off the machine. It worked out great. The machine is so heavy so it took some weight off.

I think you had a successful day! And to think it all only cost $200... There are still deals to be found; you just have to search high and low, but they're there! '>

How much is the 110 woth in this condition? I really don't need the machine so I will be selling it so that I can keep the glasco. Do you think it should go on greed bay?

Good example for parts and the 110.... loman4ec there's a 110 shell on eBay right now (6110436722) little rusty and nothing else for buy it now $90. You or someone else buys that and your Pepsi 110 would probably have a nice machine after all is said and done (and the paints dry) You did the right thing buying those, though they might be a little rough in this hobby even part machines are worth buying. Good job... Whoever ends up with it and restores it should post it so we all can see how it turns out. '>

Sounds like you are on a roll! By all means snag the coolers. The "stainless" could be a Acton aluminum (good thing). Good Luck! Creighton

Hello,
Sorry about the lack of clarity :-). The Acton Alum. is a picnic cooler of the first order. Much lighter than steel units and retains tempature just about as well as the current plastic Colemans. Noticed at Cosco the other day that Coleman was selling metal coolers again.
Anyway pic is attached of mine (RacerX has a nicer one). You can expand the posts on the picnic cooler forum to all posts and get more information.
Have another two weeks of nose to grindstone at work and then maybe I can get around to the dent. Funny how archived posts will remind one of projects unfinished :-)
Let me know if you have any questions. Best, Creighton

That is really nice. I have never been into coolers but I like that. What are they worth? I am going to possibly go look today or tomorrow.

Paid $85.00 for that one. Don't really know what they are worth. Seem to be few and far between even on greed bay.
Good luck!!! Creighton
