I won this mech off eBay today.
The auction got a whopping 15 page views in 7 days - man am I glad eBay doesn't have spell check!!
But what machine did it go to? It has a Sure-Vend shaft on the back, but the coin door looks more like a Vendo SD than a Sure Vend.
Anybody have any ideas! Just curious!

What has a coin entry like that on top?  Looks like it might have been off something other than a soda machine.

I am leaning toward an (unknown model) early Sure-Vend. I found an older pic of mine from a P-47. Notice the same flags on either side at the top of the mech. This mech does not have the familiar waffle pattern coin door, but it does have the two windows (albeit painted over). It also has the same turned down rear shaft as the Sure-Vends.
I've never seen a kiddie ride with a crank handle?

My vote early Sure-Vend as well. They were found of that deep green as well as Selecti-vend.
Also have never seen kiddie ride with change giver or crank handle.
Cool mech congrats!!

I thought about this, so I contacted the seller and asked her why she said the mech came from a DP machine. I gave my number and she called. Says she still has the machine and she could see the DP green. I asked her to send me pics and this is what she sent.

She told me there was no tag on it other than one that said V669.
So it is a transitional SelectiVend Converted S-96 (I think). I've never seen a converted square corner machine?

I've never seen a SV in person.  Does the whole mech come off the door like that?  Or was it cut out?

It does not come off like that on my SelectiVend S-48. The Sure-Vend and SelectiVend machines that I've seen all had a boxier coin door with a waffle pattern to it. This is a completely different coin door and it looks like the whole thing comes off like that.

So I got this in the mail yesterday. I won the auction for $150 shipped and all I'm interested in is the coin mech and crank handle.

Can anyone think of something to do with this coin door? I was thinking it could possibly replace a small door making an odd machine - maybe an Orange Crush 39 with LD change-giver and external cap catcher like a 6CV.
If anybody feels adventurous, the coin door is free - just pay shipping!
