R- 114 refrigerant

I have a 1930s Frigidaire refrigerator that i am working on and it uses r 114 refrigerant. it isn't cooling and i am currently soldering on taps to check and see if the valves are still good in the compressor. If they are i would like to change it over to R-12. it is a 1/10 H.P. compressor. My question is what would my cap tube length need to be for r-12, and am i going about this the wrong way. I know this isn't a soda machine but i thought someone from here might have already done something like this. I would appreciate the input.
