Any comments on a range of value?

Are these hard to find in your opinion?

Thank You

Nice!, It's the most sought after model in the V81 lineup, looks like a Jacobs26/Coke to the left & an Ideal55/Pepsi slider to the right..I also see a big dent & an automotive air-conditioner compressor chucked against it's side..ouch!

Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes.
Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon!
The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p
Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor
11 is louder than 10...
"Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.

Very Nice!! Looks to be a true barn find.
If warm water and several soft towels clean the 81 to good orginal paint and it's complete/cooling you have a $2100 + machine. Very hard to find in unmolested condition.
Can't help on the slider.

He called me just after he posted here. Said it appeared on his local Craigslist today. He called the seller and it can be had for what we would consider a very reasonable price.

I told him to hang up the phone and go get it NOW because it wouldn't be there tomorrow.  biggrin

It will be interesting to hear his follow-up when he gets back.

        Newbies................sheesh!

Does the 25cent denonimation set off a red flag? that wasnt until the 70's i think.

Got a hold of the owner and I'm going there at 1pm today.

I've seen some oddball attempts to change the price on the LD mechs. There is a simple, unobtrusive and easily reversable way to make it a 25c mech. You adjust the rejector to accept only quarters and reject all other coins, but most people weld fingers together or otherwise modify the mech.
Hard to say what might be missing or modified!
Below is a pic of what it should look like!

And make sure there is not a coverplate where the crank handle should be, otherwise it would have been converted over to the electric version and would be missing a lot of critical parts.
