Anyone know what kind of cooler this might be? It's embossed on all 4 sides. Need to find some lids for it. I belive it might be a Pelco. Pretty neat cooler.

A GE model?... is there a tag on it? The only GE model I've seen/owned has the caps centered on the sides and lids this has a different cap catcher and a small off centered cap on the front.... is it just the cap that's embossed or is the lettering embossed too... any embossing on the sides?.... very different looking cooler... you might have a one of a kind there....

Thats a GE cooler
hmm, I don't think so, there's no general electric badge & the cap catcher is wrong.

So it seems that Brian has stumbled onto the mystery cooler. Did you buy it Brian? That would look great all cleaned up with a fresh coat of paint. Although, with my wife's family ties to Coca Cola I could never get away with that one in my house. Canada Dry, RC and DP but not Pepsi! I have to agree with the posts so far that it does not really look like a Pelco or a GE. I was thinking maybe Kelvinator but it really does not look like one of those either. The size and shape of the cap catcher is certainly unique and should eventually lead to the ID. Could it be an Atlas? They used the bottle cap embossing on their coolers. Tim

So is that cap catcher correct too? That was what was throwing me because it looks diferent than what is on other GE's that I have seen. Learn something new everyday! Tim

I got this cooler like a year ago. Roger up on Seattle held it for me FOREVER! Thanks Roger! It's neat, it needs lids and some work, but I like the look of it. Like I said, no tag. I will go with the GE though based off of what Terry says. Terry, any idea what the lids looked like? Where thy embossed?

Yes inside and out. The coolers are usually missing one or both of the chrome/red striped trim strips. it looks like yours are there.

Not trying to hurt anyone feelings... step on toes... I just want to know for sure what type of cooler Brian just bought.... Here is my GE non-electric beside Brian's pic... Brian - Does your cooler have ICE COLD embossed to the top left of the logo on the front.... Is the cap on your cooler embossed on the front as there is no embossed cap on the front of this model GE cooler.. just on both sides/ends of the cooler and the lids...
Some lids have the embossing on the top and underneath (both sides) mine did not... a GE of my model also has HITS THE SPOT embossed on the ends...
There are no ribs along the front of GE coolers either.. Your picture looks as though there might be some type of embossed ribbing along the bottom.. on a GE electric there is a ribbed looking grate that can be removed to access the compressor... Your catcher is different and the shape is different...
But that white paint could be hiding all the embossing and I cannot see it... Just from that picture it looks to be a different type of cooler...

Ok, I will try to take some better pics, but to answer your questions Eric....
The bottle cap on the front, the back and both sides is embossed. There are no other sayings embossed on the cooler Along the bottom of the cooler, it is embossed ribbing. No tag on the cooler, anywhere The cap catcher seems original. The opener just says Pepsi
I have no idea what I have here!!!!
Thanks!

It'd not a GE that I've seen then... can't wait to see clearer pictures of the front and sides.... Kind of reminds me of those little embossed Mexican Pepsi picnic coolers... with the cap on the front. should measure it and compare to Westinghouse standard and/or master wonder if you could luck out and see if Westinghouse repro lids would fit... another mystery machine.... nice!

See if some of that white latex paint will come off! Maybe some signs underneath like "Tome" or "Buvez" or an ID tag that has been painted over. Cool find! I like the Adkins 180!

That latex paint would probably come off pretty easily with some aircraft stripper, I have had luck removing a top layer of paint to see what's underneath, usually it doesn't do much to the factory paint (if you don't leave it on too long). Might be worth it to see if there's anything good underneath!

Check the cap opener too... it might have a company name stamped in it... on the S&S coolers their openers say S&S Company... also check in the catcher.... looks real close to a Westinghouse master size... you might get lucky and their lids would fit.... bet that's the type it had...
