You picked the right machine if you are new to the restoration bug. It's pretty straight forward. Look forward to seeing it when finished.

I'm doing one now too, haven't done one yet... so does the tub come out through the bottom on these? after removing the two support peices?.. doesn't look like it will fit out through the top, like on other chest coolers?
Thanks for any advice you can give!

John, The tub may be tarred to the sides but a cold day annd a push will break any tar and it should come out the bottom cleanly.

A TIP I FOUND THAT WORKS WELL ON THE HEAVY TARRED AREAS IS TO HEAT THE BACKSIDE OF THE AREA WITH A PROPANE TORCH, GO SLOW DONT HEAT TO MELTING, KEEP THE FLAME MOVING AROUND, THEN GENTLY PRY THE EDGE OF TAR WITH A SCREWDRIVER OR WOOD CHISEL AND IT WILL POP OUT CLEAN FROM THE METAL.

I love these little coolers. Fairly inexpensive and easy to restore.
