I was looking through Craigslist and found this for a mere $85.00.
It is near perfect.

Nice find! I'd like to own one of those - the bigger coolers get kind of heavy when full.

I believe that Low Boy is the new cooler that come with the Yellow Coke Pedal Cars The originals didn't have the embossed® below the logo and the Font on “DRINK” is different. Still a great find and great price.

I didn't know they reproduced these. Same dimensions as the A-1 but shorter. So you may be right. And it looks too nice to be an original, there is something about the lettering. Anyway, I am still happy with the find.

They came in the back of a little wagon with the pedal cars... Can't remember if the cars were embossed too. they are well made...like the little six pack coolers... the ® gives them away as they aren't dated... They ask a lot more on ebay and other sites for that cooler so you did good... My son wants one of those little Frostie six packs as root beer is his favorite soda....

Johns, Nice original piece. Thanks for sharing.
I agree, an original is better than a copy any day of the weeks.

I won one of these on an ebay auction about a year ago. If I recall correctly I was the only bidder at about $125. Nice sized embossed repro cooler and was advertised as a Gearbox Collectible according to the ebay ad. The screening on the embossing is kind of light or thin on mine. I have used the cooler on occasion, but it is mainly a nice display piece.

I found out they were reproduced only as a result of my purchase and this site. It was both a surprise and a learning experience.
You see, I bought this cooler off Craigslist San Antonio. I saw the ad and quickly responded by calling a friend in San Antonio; I live in Alabama. My friend called the seller and bought the cooler on my behalf the next morning. Then my friend shipped the cooler to me. I thought I had an exceptional score and posted my score on this thread. That is when I learned the cooler was a reproduction. I do admit, when I opened up the package and unwrapped the cooler I found the lettering and the copyright odd and questioned the validity of the cooler. Most reproductions have a certain look and feel to them.
But at $85.00 I am not to upset about the purchase and the learning experience was a much needed refresher for this twenty plus year hobbyist. I see I am not quite the expert I think I am.

It happens to all of us at some time or another.... I bought a vintage sign once on Greed Bay, and was advertised as "New Old Stock" well, lesson learned... it was infact a reproduced sign. But hey, I'll give it to my kid to one day give to his kid (my kid is 4 years old lol) and one day this sign WILL BE OLD! lol

I could have easily been fooled by the cooler as well - especially when going by a photo. A nice cooler for the price though, so no loss IMO

I've seen them in the outlet store for $120, so it's still a deal. and hey, you got a cooler that looks cool and worrks. Personally, when i get around to restoring my coolers, they won't get loaded and carried off to a trunk then to a beach.

Good score! I take my coolers camping every chance I get. Sure they get some new dings, don't care. Always fun when the older folks come up and tell stories about how they had one like it. Have yet to see a Coleman or Igloo with a sandwich tray, and that be a darn handy feature. Creighton

I usually use a real nice original Pepsi cooler when I go to the local cruise-ins. I think I am going to use this new cooler now. I really like it and it looks cool.
