I don't know if any of you are watching the NHL Winter Classic today, but if you are, make sure you watch the 1930's GEICO commercial...that's me playing goalie!

Yep, I have played since I was 3...growing up in New England it was pretty standard to put on skates real early...now I've been relegated to the local beer leagues

Beer league I can relate. If you need any gear let me know I have a ton. We are lucky here to have the the Tri City Americans which our part of the Western Hockey league. Right now they are the 2nd best team in the CHL; ( www.whl.ca ) In the past we have had Stu Barnes, Scott Gomez, and reccently Carey Price. A great game glad to see other SMC members in the game. We made it to a Caps game at the end of November. The mom of a student in my class has season tix that she splits. We paid for 2 seats and she gave us the 3rd. Hockey is $$ to go see.

Same thing here in Hockeytown (Detroit). Anything in the lower bowl is just under $100 to a lot more! You can get nose bleeds for around $30 or $40. Always a good time to see the Red Wings though!  Tim |
