A detailed pic of the lock mechanism would help if anyone has one. Maybe one showing it lifting the lock mechanism. Just trying to figure out how this lock will retrofit then I can share.

STONER CANDY MACHINE CORRECT LOCK & CAM: This is what you need for the side mount locking system on a Stoner Candy Machine. You will need to go to your local lock shop to get this one. You will not find it at your local chain store. As of now, I think I'm the only one making the cams. But you can Google the lock in the picture to find it online. It should run you around $15.00 + shipping. A standard lock from Lowes will work fine for the bottom cabnet door.

Is it common for these to have both tublular type locks?  Or is the side tubular lock only on the side to have a tubular style lock  As for the front is a coventional type of lock with a modern type looking key?

I actually like the regular keyed cam locks, not the "Ace" Style, tubular, locks as these tend to represent a "newer" style lock for a machine from the 40's - 50's...
Just my opinion and preference...

I used a 7/16 lock cam for lower storage cabinet, worked great.  I need to pick up a 5/8 lock cam for the main door. I tried intially using a 5/8 down below and the threads were not long enough.

I assumed both would be 7/ 16.  I looked at the lock core link Curtis referenced at noticed the lock was 5/8.

Oops; correction I used 7/8.  We use an open end 7/16 wrench at work all the time... at least I had the 7 right.... laugh

Which closing bracket did you equip it with?  I was trying

to figure out what it catches on to close...?

Jim,

Could you snap a photo of the inside locking bar?

I installed the 5/8 for the main door.  I can move the locking bar up and down but I cant get it to lock.  Does the tumbler need to be positioned a certian way?

The lock comes with 3 locking bars which are interchangable.  1 1/8 inches, 1 1/4, and 5/8.  I have the 5/8 bar installed.

Pictures to follow..

Thanks...
