I have my hands full with pre-60's machines but there is a Westinghouse 78 on E-bay that looks nice for $150.00
If not for shipping I would buy it. For future knowledge, will this machine dispense cans?                        Glen

Dang you, moondawg - I just hit "Buy it Now"...

It's the machine I've been after, and $150.00 seemed very reasonable for such a clean machine.  I was going to wait to find the smaller 60 version, but this one looks sweet.

The shipping will be more than double the price of the machine  '' .

Glen,

I think Johnie stated there is a conversion kit that will allow a bottle machine to vend cans...

I'm not sure but I think you just helped Bob K depending on how you look at it...

Thanks Jim

Hey Bob K, you paid $150. for a machine, and $300 for shipping?

Would you feel better paying $300. for the same machine and $150. for shipping?'<img'>   You got a good deal!!!!!

yep, it's definitely a good deal.  Even with the shipping, I don't feel like I'm too deep into it.

Thanks for the initial post, moondawg.  You mentioned that you weren't going to buy it, so I considered it.  If you said you were thinking about it, I would have stayed away for the sake of board etiquette.

Now where am I going to find room for this one??? '<img'>

Bob,

Finding room is the easy part ! ! !
Finding deals like that is the hard part, especially on that venue...
Hopefully, it won't be much to get the refrigeration system functioning!

Thanks for the words of encouragement, Jim.  I wouldn't have thought twice if I hadn't just bought a Cavalier 55 off ebay a few weeks ago.  The shipper is going to deliver them both in the same run.  No break on shipping, though (I hoped there would be).

The neighbors are going to wonder what's going on when they drop off two machines  '<img'> .

I'd better go study up on the Refrigeration Forum.  I'll make a pest of myself over there once the machine arrives  '<img'> .

Johnnie, thanks for leading me here!

Are these racks for sale anywhere? and for how much?
Or does everyone make their own? (I wouldn't be able to make my own.)
Thanks,

you'd have to get them out of a parts machine as they're not being repro'd anywhere unfortunatly, but you can basically mack them out of sheet metal if you're handy, or I've even seen them made out of 3/4" x 3"  wood cut to length & attached to the center of the bottle racks channel that guides the crown (top) of the bottles...it's basically just a 3" spacer ( to hold the cans forward in the racks.)
