I was curious if anyone out there that owns a vertical rack system for small bottles is having the same problem as I am with my 216?  I've realized that it appears the new small bottles are not the same diameter as the bottles were in the 50s, the new ones appear to be narrower.  These narrower bottles cause a problem vending because the second bottle in the vertical rack wants to fall down before the one that is in line to vend next because the rack seems to be too wide.  Is this making sense?  Has anyone had the same problem with dealing with the small bottles?  I've come to the conclusion that I will need to add some sort of semi-rigid material to on either sides of each bottle rack chute in order to narrow it up by the appriate amount to keep the bottles from falling before intended.  Any input or recommendations from those that might have already dealt with this would be most appreciated.  If you're confused by my "Dr. Suessing" the issue, please let me know and I will attempt to reclarify.  Thanks!

Here's a picture with an attempt to explain what I'm talking about.  Hope it helps.

It looks a lot like the Vendo 80 vend rollers. I remember reading about an adjustment on the V-80 rollers for bottle size. I can't remember it, but I'll check my manual!

Here are a few scans - PM me your email address if you can't read them and I can email the full res scans.
I am not sure if this will resolve your issue, but other machines do have the same problem. Other people shim the side walls just as you Suess'd! You don't have to shim it all the way up, just the bottom 12" or so.
There should be two holes on each side at the bottom of each column. These holes are where you would have installed adjustable spacers G & H (see last 2 scans), which may or may not be there. You could possibly use these holes to mount your shims. Or maybe the spacers could be fabricated to work.

Velcro strips about 6" long applied on each side where the widest part of the bottle makes contact seems to work fine for me.
Reducing the diameter of the rollers allows it to vend cans.
