Yeah, the Rangers are tough, as the Tigers  can attest.

I'd have to agree with Creighton. As a  veryangry Braves(Choke artists) fan, I would like to see the Rangers win it since they have never won before, but then again, I would like to keep it in the National League. Good luck to all you Cards fans.

Just throwing my 2-cents... I stopped watching baseball when they had the strike and didn't play the series because they were wanting more money!!!  I could care less which team goes....if at all.  Football on the otherhand, that's a different story!!!   laugh

I am disgusted with all major sports star salaries. Why does this country think doctors deserve less money than a movie actor or sports figure? Can we sue a movie star for a bad movie or a player for not performing well in a game?
I won't pay to see any pro game or fork over $$$ for the NFL Sunday Ticket or the like. What is OTA is what I watch if I choose. On the other hand, I'll pay to see any college sports game!

Yeah, I know, but I wasn't really watching football back then.  I stopped watching football after Staubach retired and I didn't have a team to root for any longer.  It wasn't until about 15 years ago that I started watching again.  Honestly, I just find baseball extremely boring.  I went to a Padres game while I was stationed in San Diego and could only make it thru the 3rd inning before I told my wife we had to go.  Way too slow for me.  I'd rather watching mold grow while watching the paint dry than subject myself to another baseball game like that.  Haha.  No offense to any baseball fans out there!!  Football's about the only sport I can understand and follow!!!!   tounge

OK. so Texas should have won the first game unless I don't understand the rules.
On the 3rd inning hit that drove in two runs for the Cards, the ball first hit just outside of the batter's box and to the right of the first baseline and then it bounced back into the field of play. If you have it DVR'd, go back and look at it. Is this not a foul hit?
Nobody is or was making a big deal about it. Am I the only one to see it?

Tom,

A ball is judged as fair or foul based on where it crosses past first or third base.  If it doesn't go that far it is judged based on where it comes to a stop.  The ball did hit in foul territory but crossed past first in fair territory.  A ball could actually roll foul all the way down the line, hit a pebble and bounce fair and be a fair ball.  Thats why a catcher will sometimes watch a bunt roll right down the line and then grab it as soon as it goes foul.  If he doesn't and it comes back into fair territory it becomes a fair ball again.  By the way, I still have a bunch of clutch-head screws for you.  One of these days I'll actually remember to put them in the mail.

Thanks for the explanation...figured I was interpreting poorly! Surely I wasn't the only one who saw it with instant replay everywhere!
I was a jack of all sports as a kid, but a master of none!
I'll PM you my address on the clutch screws and thanks.
Go Rangers!
