Here are some of my latest finds. The crane game is a Sidebottom Super. It's a very cool machine. My daughter loves playing it. I'm going to restore it and keep it. I joked with my daughter and told her I was going to restore it and sell it. She gave me that look down, then I told her I was just kidding. biggrin The other machine is a Vendo ice cream bar machine, and the other is a Coke WD5. So many cool things to do, so where do I start?

Very cool Rod! Crane game looks awesome and the WD-5 is one of my favorite machines. It will be an easy restore too - not much to it! Does this mean you are going to reproduce the lid gasket for the WD-5??  biggrin
I've always like the Ice Cream machine, but I'd be 400 pounds if I had that around here.  laugh

there was an ice cream machine at auction today near me just like Rod's...but it was missing the inside vending rack or drum and he couldn't (wouldn't) tell me if it got cold or not...I can follow up on it, if anyone is interested.

Those ice cream machines are usually missing the honeycomb guts.  Why, I don't know, maybe metallic bees took them all away.

That figures.  Just like most milk machines are missing the vending racks and weights.

Not sure yet. My daughter has already made plans with Janet to seek out neat prizes to put in it. So I will let them decide. I hope they look for items that has that vintage appeal to it.

That's two cool crane games that have showed up on the site in the last week.  Those things are great.  Hope to see some close up pics when you are done with it.  Congratulations on a really neat find.

Nice stuff.. the restored Minit pop for 6500 sounds about right from what I've seen..
there is another one out there for sale , really nice restoration from the photos and video I've seen. I think it's Doc from Docs Bowling machines selling it.. he wants 7200 for his ..

Whats the story on the Popmatic ? is he selling that too... looks like one I've seen offered for sale on the east coast a few years ago?

John,

I thought Doc was selling his in Vegas? He bought some thing off of me to finish his. I think $ 6,500 is a good going rate for them too. here is mine.

Looks just like the one that Chris Friedlander had for sale... but must have been a common color combo?
