Here is an old post with a pic of a machine similar to yours. Its toward the bottom of the thread. The reply is from JohnieG. I think this is a machine he owned so he may know something about your model. He is very active on this site. http://soda-machines.com/discussions/index.php/topic,6451.0.html

I have the same machine, in Pepsi. Sounds like all 3 of us are in the same boat, i havent found any info on mine, except that Vendolater made one using the same signage, decals and colors as mine. What is listed as a serial # and model # on yours? mine has 2 such tags, one on the bottom left end, and another near the motor.

bingo! we have a match. here's what mine has on it, as hard as it is to read. motor 174 hp phase 1 model P-11535 serial number M-80 226 and 578 lb. maybe we can help eachother with any questions about the others machine, im slowly piecing together all the missing parts as best as i can. i'll look at your pic closer, would really like to see a pic of the inside of the door backing, and the coin mechanism door open.

Awesome! Glad I found someone in the same boat as I. I will message you my Email and perhaps we can trade pictures. I am new to this stuff, so if you notice anything out of place, or anything that i may be missing...by all means let me know!
Hopefully we can put our heads together and get these 2 machines looking like new(and it would be nice to know what they are worth in the process)

174hp motor?? Thats more than my car has .. Are you reading the info by the compressor deck or on the outside of the machine?? Something doesn't sound right. I would guess value fairly low since they are uncommon.. They are cool machines, but hard to find parts..

I looked at my plate, and i think its 1/4 horse. The way these things are stamped its hard to read any of the characters.

I suspect that is actually 1/4 HP. I have seen a few of those Ideal 80T's come up on CL over the last year but have never seen one in person. If JohnieG owned one then he will be a great resource on that model. Tim

So its an Ideal 80T? My machine has 1D 729 listed across as the model #? Of course i have found no sign that 1D 729 exists as a model # anywhere either. Particular reason these seem to be so light on available information?

The way these things are stamped its hard to read any of the characters. The best way I have found to read some of these old ID plates is to set up a camera on a tripod with the macro lens setting and shoot a close up of it - higher the MB the better. I have looked at some with a magnifying glass and think I know exactly what it says only to find out it is really a different number.

does anyone replicate dataplates? i'd like to get a new one rather than my scarred up old dataplate. i guess mine does say 1/4, which at first glance i thought it was 174. that made no sense! 1/4 does. its hard to read! that Dr Pepper machine on ebay is here in Dallas where i am, if i remember correctly. $1000? good luck. its still not exactly as mine is, maybe a year or two newer or older.

http://www.datatags.com/tossed 'data plate restoration' in Google and a few dozen pages popped up. I have no interest or connection to this site, just looked promising
