Wire question

In my machine most of the wires in the compressor area are stiff and dry and I would like to replace them but I would like to find out what kind of wire I should get to replace them with. Most of the wires just look like lamp cord or something like that but I want to make sure I get the right stuff before I just go out and start buying wire. The machine is a Vendorlator VF-165.

I just received a new wiring harness from Fun-Tronics and it appears as though the wiring is all 18-guage...if that helps.  I know you can get it at Home Depot, just make sure you get some good wire terminals.

I like to rewire with the black flexible outdoor wire that Home Depot or Lowes sell.  You can get it at the store in 2, 3 or 4 wire configurations, if the machine ever ends up back outside, it'll last longer with it.

you should use 16 gauge minimum rated for 300 volts (the rated voltage of the wire you want to use should be double the working voltage in this case 120volts AC so 300 volt UL listed) don't use landscaping low-voltage cord. it will state the rated working voltage right on the spool you buy it off of.

One more question is can I reuse those white plastic connectors or will I have to get new ones and if so where do i find those? I'm thinking grainger but I am not sure exactly what to look for.

They do disassemble, but the metal connectors inside are crimped onto the wire itself, so you'll either have to get new connectors, or splice the ends of the white "molex" connectors onto the new wiring.
