Hey All,
Well, I didn't get to rebuild the rarest Coke machine on the planet or anything so spectacular, but thought I'd share what my wife and I did over the weekend.  I think it turned out pretty good.  I just can't wait till I can get the "honey-do's" out of the way so I really CAN rebuild a Coke machine!!!  tounge

Thanks guys.  We even cut the hearth top out of two 4-foot slabs of limestone, so the entire thing was done by us.  Lots of work for a weekend, but extremely rewarding in the end.  I only hope that I can do a Coke machine just as well!!!

Nice job Ken & wife! Great that the two of you can work together like that.
Your floor looks like mine! I ripped up the kitchen/living room floor a couple of months ago. We need a kitchen remodel too, so until we can decide exactly what we're doing we are walking on bare concrete.
Is the floor next in line for you?

Haha, you weren't supposed to pick up on that!  Yes, we are planning on doing the floors soon.  Before I retired from the Corps, we had rented out house out for 4 years and the last tenants really did a number on the carpet, so we decided to put in wood floors when we moved back last year.  We pulled the carpet up a couple of months ago, then decided we need to redo the fireplace since we really didn't care for the tile or the hearth size.  On the opposite side of the room from the fireplace is the breakfast bar that looks into the kitchen; we're going to put the same stone on the wall under the bar too.  Once all stone work is complete, we'll work on getting the floors done.  I think the wall will be next weekend, so I'll follow up with some more pics if anyone's interested.

Until all these projects are done, I can't make enough room to really get to work on the Coke machines, but hopefully that will come soon.
