Alright... started work on my Orange Squeeze cooler, it started out rough but I had enough parts left over from a 7up cooler
to make a junior out of it along with Rod, having a lid made... I just have it pieced together and haven't had any body work done yet.
It has a couple holes (WHY!!!??) drilled through it and some good dents and dings... No serious rust issues... But I thought it
to rare to toss and only paid $45 for it...
It started out yellow with red letters and a black base and black lid (color option left) but I thought I would try ORANGE as a color
what option do you guys like most...

My vote is for the third one. Off white with the orange. Black lids show all the dirt and scratches badley.

Unless painting a fantasy piece, I would stick with the original paint scheme #1.
That is the way it was and how it should be! Walter's book pictures scheme #4, so what is real!
If I were buying a restored piece....it being redone in original theme might sway me if it were a tad overpriced.

However I read somewhere that if you like it, then that is all that matters!
Aesthetically I think #3 looks best.

I like the off white as well. I was going to say 3 or 6, but I agree with the comments on the black.

#3 and #6 look like a peach color to me, not off white. I'm leaning towards #4.

#5 for me. Red lid and base gives it a nice contrast to the orange paint.

Thanks guys... I am torn... I know that I always say go with the original scheme.
like 81 not being two toned, or pin stripes, etc... but bright yellow and red letters
for a Orange Brand soda?  Oo I know red and yellow make orange but shouldn't a
orange brand have orange in it? smile

As far as fantasy (model wise) with original parts I have left... I'm
taking a rough Quikold D-144 down to a D-48 with replacement lid and cap catcher.
The cooler in the book is a Orange Crush... and though I like the scheme on that
I don't want to copy as I might someday come across another one of those.

The off white is really kind of a pail/creamy orange sherbet color with dark orange letters and either
matching base and lid or black base and lid... thought those colors “looked” 40s... and it kinda
(know it's a stretch) staying with the light (yellow-ish) body and red-ish letters like original?
I have my 7up junior up next then this one...
thanks guys!

What software package (i.e. photoshop?) did you use to draw the mock-ups?  Pretty cool.  Thinking now about doing it for some of my sliders...

I just drew them up in Adobe Illustrator... Same prgram I used to clean up the letters and logos after I traced them/scanned them...
Don't want to waste $$ on paint when I don't know what I want to do just yet.

Found and took a RC cooler into photoshop and put the logo on it to see what it would look like... this is close to original colors
without the black lid and base...
