Mount it on a piece of maple, pine or such, router the edges, stain if desired. Should be able to rewire it to light up. Or go back to the junk yard, have them cut you off a roof, and make a cool wall piece.

Put it on your car, drive around the bars at closing, make a few bucks! Or.... change your number to that, place it on your car, and away you go!

Go to a scrap yard and have them cut a roof off at the pillers. Paint the roof yellow, mount it on the roof and hang the roof on the wall. It would look pretty cool.

That sounds like it would be really cool! I wonder how much something like that would cost (or if I would even be allowed to have it in the house) You know it would make a really neat coffee table.

i have a friend that owns a few checker marathons, he had one done up as a yellow taxi and one as a checker cab. one of them was used in an allstate commercial that had the chicago water tower in the background. he has had a bunch of the cab toppers and fare boxes too.

yes the old style cabs that you only see in movies, he has probably owned about 15 or so. We had a governor (thompson) who didnt go to jail from illinois if you can believe it. He is a big man, literally he use to get driven around in a checker marathon. they are very roomy inside, i use to like sitting in the jump seats when i was a kid.
