Hubby says either get it running or its going to the dump. It cools but the fans growl and squeel. 1. need instruction to get it apart to get to said fans. 2. need parts 3. needs some rewiring so the lighted sign will work. 4. many prayers cause I see a bunch of name calling and swearing at this machine in my future. Its gonna be alot different form the vendo squaretops Ive refinished. Oh and I have another cav 22. Yeah Im a gluton for punishmnet.

Hey Jaz good to see you on the board fan motor, wiring harness, and give soda jerks a call for the manuAL or there may be one here or funtronics also may have one. And we can all put in a prayer for you .

Choice Vend fans are an open-frame style like you might find inside a bathroom exhaust fan, but designed to run in a colder environment) & when the bushings go dry, you got it... they yowl & howl.
They are easy enough to replace, (relatively that is) you must pull out the bottom delivery tray that directs the bottles/cans to the front chute, & if it's a late model. you should be able to access the fans from there, if it's an early model. well then you may have to pull the vending column assembly out completely to access the fans.
The replacement fans are available from as Pat said soda-jerks and or Funtronics, check there online catalogs, I've also found them at my local Graingers supply house, but check online before running over there. the motors themselves should have four wiring terminals ( two on each side) so you can "daisy-chain" them together with the original harness without splicing the harness. (you'll see what I mean once you can physically view the motors electrical terminals & harness)
be carefully with the vending rack/column assy. if you need to pull it out, it's very heavy, hubby may need to lend a hand at that point (if required)

Jasmine, The insides come apart easily. First, take the back spacers out from each column. Second, remove the columns. The assembly is usually secured by about 4 bolts. You might be able to access the fans now (I think there are 3 fans), which are located on the back side of the vend assembly. If not, you may have to partially remove the assembly by removing the line cover and unbolting the vend assembly. Good Luck

Ok where can I buy fans? I know now why they were growling and squeeling. They are so loose they were all but falling out.

I found a nice selection in the online Graingers catalog..here's the link...match the voltage & CFM ( if available) don't worry about rotation, these motors can be reversed easily by removing the rotor & flipping it around in the field coil...& get a matching fan blade too, as the old ones usually crack with age & also fall apart sometimes when they are removed form the old motors shaft. plus the axle-hole may be of a different diameter than the new motors shaft... http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/wwg/search.shtml?searchQuery=c-frame+motor&op=search&Ntt=c-frame+motor&N=0&sst=subset
