Just wondering if anyone else has seen one of these? I have my VCC on one. I know it's not correct, but I've never seen another one till this one on ebay. Can't believe it's over $300 and reserve isn't met??

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trksid=p4340.l2557&rt=nc&nma=true&item=160575170007&si=%252BirUHmyAu26kE0L3Sg%252B00ljLzXg%253D&viewitem=&sspagename=ADME%3AB%3AWNA%3AUS%3A1123

Does anyone know what they were used for? also, I think this is going way too high for this base. Not sure what's up with some of these parts going real high, with real high reserves??

here is a pic of mine.

I don't think it's original.. I think someoone made these up a few years ago... Still very cool looking but not sure on authenticity...

the one on ebay look pretty real to me. Wouldn't it take a long time for that much rust and pits to form? Anyway that would be really hard to repop.

It should read “REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.” and all the fonts are wrong would have been a simple san sarif font.
still a nice heavy base perfect for the coin changers.
Wonder if it was made in Mexico for those carousel horses you see from time to time.

I think you could age it pretty easily...blast it clean and set it outside....without any kind of protection, I bet it would rust up pretty fast.

Interesting...Yeah, it should read " REG. U.S. PAT. OFF." can anyone provide a picture of a correct Original?

I'd say $331.00  is way to much for a repro regardless. hope it's the real deal for the buyers sake anyway.  laugh

Ever see any of the fake signs coming form South America?  They are rusted and worn, and look 60 years old, instead of the few months old they are.
I also think it was from the Mexican Carousel  horse(s)
