Welcome to SMC! You will find the people on this site to be very helpful with any questions that you may have. Nice looking 56--that refers to how many of the old 6.5 to 10 oz bottles it can hold. 7 shelves with 8 bottles each. It may hold one less on each shelf with 12 oz bottles. Here is a bit more information about your machine: http://soda-machines.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=567&Itemid=14It is possible that the machine started out as DP green and got repainted at some point. Those are great machines for everyday use! Tim

Next thing you need to do is make the trip over to Dublin, TX and pick up some 10, 2 & 4 Dp's for that thing. good luck with it.

There had been a white with green DP machine on craigslist near me, but now I can't find it. You might just go to google images and type in Dr. Pepper machine or even vintage dr. pepper machine in and search and you will get a lot of pics of various ones. I am sure there are a few people here with examples but that might save you a little time and you could see more various ways they were done.

Thanks Red Sparks, did you see the price for that dp machine 800.00 seems steep..Im not sure what color now to paint it..Sinse im going to keep this machine for myself..What would be the very cheapest way to remove the rust from the (i guess pan) bottom where the insert slides in ,and just patch the holes? I cant afford very much..Thanks for any suggestions !!

Is that the bottom of the inside of the machine? If so I used POR-15 on my machine. They sell a starter kit online that comes with all the stuff you need to apply it properly. http://www.por15.com/SUPER-STARTER-KIT/productinfo/SSKB/ I used the silver one for my machine and it looked pretty good.
