These are all the photos i have at this point. Wondering what something like this is worth before i lowball the guy. He wants $400 bucks for it, but it doesnt run. The lid will have to be replaced, no major dents, but a full resto will be needed. Not sure what the motor/ compresser will need to get running or how much that will cost to fix yet. Anyways, a little history on the RC sliders if anyone knows any, and what something like this is worth would be great.

Paid $350 for mine several years ago. Mine is embossed, which this one doesn't look to be. Also, mine was working great and has the slider rack. $400 is way too much for a generic (non-embossed) slider missing it's slider rack and is not working.

If it doesn't run, it is most likely a simple wiring problem. If it runs but does not cool it may be a major problem to stay away from. Coin mech and cap catcher are worth $200, so that would be my limit although he may never be offered that much from anyone who doesn't understand these machines.

I wouldn't go more than $200. I paid 250 for a embossed working pepsi slider missing one lid stop.

Thanks for the info! I knew 400 had to be too much, but seeing as the Coin Changers are going for about half that alone, I wasnt sure. I am going to go look at it tomorrow i think. Is there any trouble spots or other things to look for on these that would considerably affect the value? I know the lids are expensive to replace and i know this machine doesnt have the bottle track.

Point out all the reason why it's worth 150~200 and not the $400 he thinks he can get from you. let him know you had some of the experts in the field concur . In the game of collecting knowledge is everything

And politely leave your contact information. When he gets no offers at $400, he may call you back to unload it

No Bottle Rack a $150 item and the cooling or the wiring or both dont work , The compressor work Johnie & Eric At global will tell you $450 - $500 which would cover the wiring. plus it is a plain jane machine it is not imbossed and to be honest I think $150 is to high maybe more like $100 tops.

Just heard back from the guy again, and yea, its not embossed. Been in his family for 40 years(emotionally attached), hasnt worked in the time he has possessed it.
I think i am going to pass and keep looking for a more desirable machine at a better price. No way this guy takes 100 bucks, and i dont see taking on a project that needs this much work unless its something i can see myself owning for awhile.
Thanks again for the help! If anyone else wants a hack at it, I'm in central MN. Oddly two people in my neck of the woods have RC machines like this for sale. The other has a slightly different logo, runs, but is missing the catcher, slide and coin mech.

Signguy,
I am in St Cloud MN. I may still try and negotiate with these guys. If i can get them cheap enough, when i do find my slider to restore, i will probably need the parts. For whatever reason, I havent found a whole lot of these for sale in my neck of the woods. I suppose i will have to start hunting em down.
I will PM you for your info, I checked out your website, and (like many others i am sure) fell in love with that orange crush slider you sold. Very cool!
