I just discovered that we are all restoring the wrong machines!!! oops

Just take a look at this!  I figure I will pick it up for about $1,800--clean it up and flip it for $2,500!  Afterall, the seller must know what he is talking about, right?

Yes but they do restore nicely. I agree with that. here is one I did. Under all that woodgrain it is just a Vendo 56. I just wish it had been worth $2,500 Smiley What are these people thinking.

There is also an ebay auction running for a late 60's V110 square top and the person claims it is from 1941 and is worth a fortune.

Josh-i agree that it is a great machine and it has a lot of possibilities once the woodgrain is removed; however, one new in the box would not be worth that kind of money!

Nice, But quite as Rare as the ever elusive Vendo V56 in Avocado green & the ultra rare Harvest gold models!!!! the embodiment of 1970's chic.  biggrin

(Maybe they have it confused with a "woody" station wagon?)

there is also a positive thing that comes out of those listings.. when selling an unrestored  machine and people are balking at "realistic" prices.. show them some of those listings and say .. "See your getting a great deal"! biggrin
