There has been some discussion on this style machine before, I too believe it to be a Rowe, and others say it's a Stoner.. but stoners have a different look to them?
My vote is a Rowe as well.

It is the first Stoner Theatre Candy Machine, I have restored several. It would have been wood grain as was all the theatres. I have the same one on my shop porch in original condition. Hard sell.

I have a very hard time selling this model even though it's a Stoner, I have no less than 3 stoner Candy machines in restoration at all times but Can't even get a taker on the one on my porch. It should have the fresh candy light up front and if not I would pass unless you want it for yourself. Very different and harder to restore than the regular Stoners. I have restored over 300 as you can see many of them under photos on my website, www.retrovending.com  I like them but thats just me. If it's all there it still don't sound like a bad price. The last knob on the right is different from the others and the coin entry is cast and almost are always cracked above the top stud and that would need to be fixed, not easy to do with all thats going on with the entry.

Wojcik,

I have one of those machines that I found in good original condition.  Here is a link to the discussion and pictures of mine:

http://soda-machines.com/discussions/index.php/topic,10130.msg76850.html#msg76850

As far as the lights, there should be one of the button type lights on each side of the chrome trim below the mirror on the "Fresh Candy" bump.  As you can see, mine has a light above the mirror; but, I suspect that could have been an option back in the day.  Mine still has the original paint that Curtis referred to in his post.

If you can get it for $225  and it is complete, I would go for it.  Especially if you are going to restore it for yourself.  Go with $180 in your hand and see if they will bite!

Good luck!

Well bought the machine yesterday. Paid $200.00 for it. Will post pics later. The machine is a little more beat up than I expected, but should be fun to restore. It's missing the two lights or lenses that are above the '' Fresh Candy'' signs along with the lights for the '' Fresh CANDY'' sign. Does anyone have any pics of what they look like or where I can get them? Thanks!!

I think you got a good deal.  I snapped a couple of pictures.  One of the exterior mirror "button" light lens and one of the interior light that would light up the Fresh Candy and the button lenses for the mirror.  My machine is complete so I will be happy to send you pics of anything that you need.  I have not touched mine yet as far as restoration so everything should be where it is supposed to be!  laugh

Let me know if you need anything else.

Neat! those "button" lights look like a pair of rounded Lucite plastic rods ( early fiber-optics?)

Wojcik, that a good find, the body  looks solid... it should clean up nice and with paint It will look great biggrin.... half the fun of restoring something is the hunt for all the parts to make it complete.  Sure you could by one for $1,600~$2000 But it won't mean as much to you as the one you work on yourself.

It's a stoner Jr. or some are called a 120.. but for basic discussion it's a stoner jr.  nice looking machine, looks complete.

as far as what it cost to restore, depends on the extent of the restoration and if your doing it yourself or hiring it out.

price is a about right, little high in my area.. I have one forsale for 550
