Very Nice Frostie ! ! !
Can we assume this is an original...?

With soo much literature on advertising signs, I thought focusing on soda machines, coolers and syrup dispensers was enough to keep me busy...  tounge

Yes it is a mid 1950s original.  As many of you know, Stout Sign re-poped these in the 1980s.  I believe most of the repos were 24".  This is almost 40" in diameter and is original.  I was luckly enough to have the wife win it for me on E-bay .

Not cheap but one of my nicest 50s original signs.

I also think a separet catagory for old signs would be a great idea.  I have a ton of them but I don't know much about them,

I also think a separate category for old signs would be a great idea.

I think it would be great too.

Jim - maybe just a separate 'Member's Signs' area in the SMC Photo Gallery. Let it be a Wikipedia type area where people can input their knowledge of the piece? Of course, I don't know the feasibility of that or how much work that would be so it is up to you.
