I just pulled out the refrigeration unit in my V63 in order to clean up the interior of the machine. As a result, I have a couple of questions: 1. Does anyone have any experience with the RustOleum Professional Galvanizing Compound? http://www.rustoleum.com/CBGProduct.asp?pid=135 I am thinking of using it to deal with the rust in the bottom of the interior. I don't really want to have to paint the entire interior if I can help it... only the bottom, so I can prevent future rust problems. My goal is to keep the machine in its nearly original condition rather than make it pristine. I tend to like machines that have some signs of wear as long as they are in reasonable condition. 2. Is it common for the condensation tube to be arranged in the way my machine's is arranged? I am attaching a couple of pictures for you to consider.

Spoon-feeding Newbies since 2001... Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes. Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon! The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor 11 is louder than 10... "Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.

I have used POR15 for rusty bottoms and then you can paint over the POR if you want, but the POR (silver) looks pretty good - http://www.por15.com/& Another purpose of the machine's condensation drain is to form a P-trap to seal cold air in and also keep bugs out of the interior

Get that mess cleaned up and let it dry out then clean up what rust there is because rust never sleeps. I have used hammer tone and that did the job and I've used CRC instant cold Galvanize which is okvit has done the job just dont like the way it looks , going to be doing something different here soon for inside of these machines.

Sealed up all the little holes in the liner.

The SSK is what I got and I have used it on a few liners. Make sure you follow the instructions! This stuff will be on your skin for weeks if it gets on you. Stored properly will last for years.

Do you think the POR15 would also be a good thing to use on the bottom deck of the machine where the compressor deck resides?

Thanks, guys. I would highly reccomend the POR15 to anyone. I hammertoned over it in the tub and sprayed enamel on the bottom. It worked really well.
