OK well no one mentioned the last one either. There is another popperette on ebay. On this one the seller claims it is an NOS machine. The item # is 320575581241. H says it is a table top model but it has a solid plate over the garbage opening. I have a table top model, the formica is solid and the metal underneath is also solid. I emailed him and asked for better more detailed pictures, he stated, "I will try". it is in Raritan, New Jersey. If anyone on the site is interested in one, I have a restored one available with the stand. Pm for details.

An NOS Tabletop Popperette...I would pay no more than $3000. Honestly, for that same version in "good used" condition, I would pay around $1500-$1700. An NOS model will always bring more!
After looking at this machine a little closer, I noticed that the Plastic Sign that sits on top of the machine in front of the glass globe is more than likely not original. If it is, this would be the first time I've ever seen one like that. It has really round corners instead of mitered corners and has "Popperette" by itself with no other wording and in a strange script font instead of "POPCORN, Each Order Popped Fresh".
I'm not saying this sign is 100% wrong but I have never seen one before. If anybody has ever seen one of these before, please chime in.
Here's a pic of the one on the Ebay machine followed by a picture of a reproduction original sign. Sorry about the size of the first one. If you can't get a good idea of what I'm talking about, pull up the auction listing on Ebay and compare.

My bid was the first one and is still the highest. I bid $2,500 but it didn't make the reserve. I'm guess the reserve is $3,000.
I'm not bidding any higher.

That machine and photo are of our very own Larry (mills400c) on this site,, he submitted his photos of that Marvin site.. Regarding the Sign Brian, it is an original version, but not used very long.. There where three different style signs produced for the popperette with the one you see most often being used 99% of the time. I have one of these older ones , like the one on ebay as well, the world Popperette is etched out of the plastic from the back, pretty plane. the other version is a metal sign with the the Popperette logo Screen printed black on silver metal. I have to find mine and then will post a picture..

Thanks for the info, John!
Yes, I would love to see a good, picture of the etched/reverse-engraved sign as well as the metal sign. They must have been used for a very short time.

I emailed the seller requesting close up pictures of the machine from the front and the right side of machine, this was his reply, "I had a friend take pictures of the machine. If i can get them to take more pictures I will, but no promises". I wish someone from the site that lives close would go and take some pictures of it.
