Coin bezel plating

I've got a coin bezel I've had a local replating company try to rechrome but I'm not happy with the results. They've replated the thing three times now and there's always a problem. Nothing against the company because they are diligently trying to produce a quality product and have taken the bezel back without complaint each time, but they admit that replating "pot metal" is a trial and error game. I just got my bezel back yesterday and there are runs in the chrome and several areas were literally "drowned". I can't even read the "Vendo Company" script anymore, it's been nearly all filled in.
Has anyone had any luck replating pot metal? If so, who did your work?
Thanks for the help!

Eric,
Try searching for "Chrome Plating"...
There was some discussion on this topic some time ago and I do remember some companies being listed.

My 2 cents on Chrome Plating. Find some one that has had work done at a shop and would recommend them. You can ask to see some of their work and talk to a few customers, but they aren’t going to show bad work or unhappy customer. A year ago I took in 3 Coca-Cola plates in to be re-chromed and to make a long story short I just now picked up all 3 damaged plates and some cash to try and replace them.
The next time I need plating work done instead of going to the one local shop here I will send the work out to a shop that I feel knows what they are doing. In the past year I have asked everyone I know that has had chrome work done who the use. I have talked to a long time friend that restores old Gas Pumps, a few people that build customer cars, and a few machine shops. The best recommendation so far came from one of the machine shops that dose a lot of specialized work and prototypes. This plating shop is an hour drive and pricey, but they do a lot of unique work and have a very good reputation. From now on I am willing to drive a little spend a lot to have the work done right the first time.
My recommendation to you is talk to some people to get a few recommendations, then find the best shop with in your price range, and try to keep it all with in driving distance.
