Not sure as I've never bought one but I remember seeing that for sale for a looooong time. Think they started out around $10,000 asking price before. LOL

I wouldn't expect it to be worth too much because it is a one flavored massive machine.  550 pounds!!!

I like that the Pepsi cap lights up.  It is definately out of the ordinary.  What does he want for it?

Well we knew it was coming,
The following  is from the ad for the 242 ( Coke machine). The lack of punctuation, capitalization and spell check  gave me cry like a red headed step child that was just beaten

Quote
it is a vendorlator not a vendo do not confuse it for a vendo. it was made in Fresno California it is a 60 cycle 115 volts and 6.5amps. i do know this is very rare machine, i just need to talk to someone who knows what this is worth a rough estimate it does have all the guts and parts inside nothing is missin on it, or inside of it for sure!!it has average wear on it no huge dents just minor dings on it a person who does restore these would love this one cause it wouldnt need much ive seen way way worse thats for sure. ive seen on pawn stars once this guy brought one in and it wasnt as old as mine it had no insides to it rusted out very poor shape i mean poor and he got 1000.00 for it from a pawn shop which they never want to give u anything for anything there rip offs so if he got that i know im lookin at alot more than that his was not a very rare model or nothing like that just a average machine like mine, i just wanted to see if someone could help me out with more info on it and a vaule of what there worth about, cause it is hard to estimate when unseen. i cant find nothing on internet of what it would be worth. any info would be great thanks alot.if any serious inquirs please email me. no trades no checks cash only deal if decide to sell. and it is a stand up machine!

first it's rare,  then it is easily confused for a Vendo, then  Pawn stores gave a guy a 1000 for an average machine, just like his.

I had been watching that Pepsi one drop in price over the last few months too...like Larry said, started around $10K and dropped by about a $1000 a week.  I dont' want to think about what it would take to move that thing.

Anybody ever reach out to these dreamers and pull them back to earth on the prices?  There are so many machines around me right now that are asking way too much (USS-64 for $2100, V-83 for $5k, etc.) but I just don't have the heart to let the person know the real value of them.

I used to, was told that :
I didn't  know what i  was talking about or
I am trying to rip him off, since Coke stuff sells for big money or
They saw a macchine on Ebay listed for $XXXX.XX or
I they already have 3 offers for the asking price

I stopped. Maybe they honestly don't know the value, but i've yet to have anyone thank me for  telling them the truth.

You Can't tell these people anything They see one Coca Cola Machine on eBay listed for $XXXXX.xx amount of dollars
and they think : ( Heck Yeah I've got a Coca Cola Machine I'm going to sell mine (being a broke down dented up vendo63)
for Big money ) So then they learn after 6 months or then they may get lucky and get some sucker who will part with his
hard earned cash to get that machine.
But right know with the economy the way it is people are looking for that big dollar and they will try anything to get it.

I've reached out a few times with mixed results.  I've been ignored...and on my Ideal 35 Dr Pepper which was listed for $500, the guy told me to take it for $150 if I was still interested.  All it takes is one of those to make it worth while!   biggrin

I talked to this guy about the Pepsi machine. He still seem confident that he had his retirement covered with this machine.

As far as telling people the truth about their machine, only occasionally. Since, like Killroy, I don't know anything about these old machines.
