This is close to home and will be gone y tomorrow night so I need an answer pretty quick they said it will not cool the compressor kicks on and off I figure needs recharged but I can buy it for 120 What do you all think is it worth it if so what am I looking at if I get it fixed and resell  |

I would pass... get a Ideal Pepsi slider, it would be a little smaller... course I favor the older models...

I'd pass. Even with polishing and cleaning up that is still a very "70's" cooler. Would be hard to get $200 around here.

All depends on your taste of what style machine you like...
Me personally I think it's ugly and wouldn't take it if given to me... but that's just me.. I like the 50's or earlier stuff, round corners only...
but some members here like the 60's -70's stuff.. one it's more plentiful, cheaper and for some, it's all they remember I guess.

I think it's kinda neat looking. If you're not worried about making money on it and just like it for yourself then $120 isnt a lot of money. Just my two cents.

I agree with jbrooks; however, make sure you are really going to use it or it will soon become an eyesore that is just in the way! I think we have all "that" machine at one point in our collecting!  Tim |

Its actually an early to mid 60's cooler but still very square. I would pass unless it is for you. You may be able to make a little on it but you will have to find the right buyer and it will not be a huge profit and not enough to justify the time and work that will go into getting it, cleaning it up and getting it cooling. It also may be something more serious than just needing a recharge. It could be a costly fix.

if the compressor is clicking on/off, it's the over-current device (called a "klicit") telling you that the compressors drawing too much current, NOT that it simply needs a "recharge" of freon, this is a common assumption.

Spoon-feeding Newbies since 2001...  Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes. Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon! The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor 11 is louder than 10... "Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan. |

I talked to the owner they would go as low as 90 on it. I like it but, just not sure if I want it to keep.
