I never saw this version before.  I wonder if it was a coke machine?  I can't see covering up a Pepsi embossment.  Any ideas?

I think it is what they did with their machines in the late 50's / early 60's with their "light look" with the light blue and the "Say Pepsi Please" Slogan like the early square tops.
