After getting some tips from the folks here regarding how to implement a "free vend" option in my Vendo 165, I took a trip today to my local Radio Shack.  My goal with the machine is to use the coin return lever to implement the required credit to choose a beverage.  One of the folks here made mention of using a roller tip micro switch that the lever would come in contact with, and that would activate the "credit".

When I went to Radio Shack today, they had a roller tip lever micro switch, and also a plain lever micro switch, and they both showed that they were rated at 5A for 125V/250V.  Would that rating be sufficient for use in the switch diagram that was posted here by JohnieG?

Thanks in advance,

VG

My original switch was rated for 3-amps at 120volts A.C.  the circuit is only energized for about 1/2 of a second to set the solenoid ( or vend relay).

Yup, the 5A will be just fine.
