Tim,

Can you hold my machine for that long? If not its fine but it just makes since to go to the lunch and meet everyone. I am not in a huge hurry to get it as I have a few projects going on and its too darn cold to do anything.

Josh,

No problem on the machine.  It is in the garage and not in the way.  You may need to come to the machine because I had to turn in the Magnum  down today.  Company car and the mileage was approaching 80,000.  I really wanted to keep it but they wanted 8700 for the buyout and That seems about 2000 high in my book.  The new car is a Tauras and there is no way to get a machine in there--well maybe a Stoner Junior with broken down into the top and base.  By then, I may have a third vehicle suitable for machine hauling.

No need to worry though because I am not too far from the lunch spot and probably not too far off of your route from IN.

No bog deal. Even if it is not too close. I would love to meet everyone and driving even another hour to get the machine isn't a big deal. I don't know how many machine you have but if you want to use it in the mean time have at it! I am anxious to get it but won't be spraying paint until spring. Thanks for your help.

I am waiting to hear about a job offer but I will do my best to be there. How far are you all from Chicago? What about Cleveland Ohio? I may be in Cleveland next week. I don't know if that is about half way?

For the where, how about a good  Coney island? Nothing says Michigan like two on one and a side of chili fries.

Kilroy has a good idea there!  I would even break my diet for that!  There are a lot of Coney Island options.  Lucas Coney Island on Grand River in Brighton is pretty good!

I don't think the Badger is running this time of the year so it looks like you will have to swim!  Drag a case of Mexican Cokes behind you.  They should be nice and ice cold by the time you get to Ludington!   laugh happydrinkers biggrin

For those of you not from the Michigan and Wisconsin, here is some info on the Badger:

http://www.ssbadger.com/home.aspx

I only ever took the Badger once.  I had a nice cigar, a book and I was planning on sitting out on the deck in the sun and relaxing for a few hours.  It rained all the way across the lake! down

Dave,

It is actually Lake Michigan that we are talking about.  It separates Michigan and Wisconsin.  The car ferry would be a fun family trip on a nice sunny day.  It was not so much fun in the rain!

Signguy--here is a picture of the lighthouse in Ludington so you know where to get out of the water at the end of your swim.  We will be waiting for you with a cold beer!  tounge

I think I will gut out a Vendo 110 and make a boat out of it,, first man to sail the the big lake in a 1950' Vending machine! how bout that! biggrin
As far as the Cold Beer at the end of the swim, I may be from Wisconsin, but even "WE" won't do certain things even for Beer or Cheese! biggrin

Ahhhh....don't forget about the snow, especially lake effect.  We have gotten a bunch of it since Chirstmas.  It's still coming down now.  The school district I work at was one of the few in the area that actually had school yesterday.

This Afternoon: Snow showers. High near 15. Wind chill values as low as -1. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Tonight: A 50 percent chance of snow showers, mainly before 9pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 1. Wind chill values as low as -14.
Looks it may hit 33 degrees on Wednesday!

Jim, I'll tell you those guy are are idiots  ,When John & I did that show they thought my machines
were over priced and they thought they should go for the price of a unfinished machine  the price John was selling his machines for and they thought those were over priced .

Ludington/Manistee are great places to visit in the summer, but not this time of year since there is too much snow.  I'm originally from Manistee just north of Ludington so it's nice to see some familar names on the board.

What is the current situation for the meetup? I don't currently have internet and I can rarely get to somewhere that I can use my computer so please call me at 740-804-9920 if there are any plans made. I would like to meet everyone and pickup my Vendorlator 81 at the same time if possible. I'm looking forward to both but even here in Cincinnati we are up to our elbows in snow.

Pat--thanks for organizing the lunch.  It was great to get together with some guys from the group.

Photographer was JohnieG!

Picture 1 - - on the far side of the table- Pat Pixley, Tim (mznb1u), Jim (Kilroy) on the near side Bob (Yarochrehc), Brian (Seven181) and a friend of Jim's.

I think the plan of a lunch near the MI, IN, OH border to get a few more members there is a great idea!

That what I would like to set up Tim,  or maybe doing something this May 15th  right after the fowlerville show, maybe a cook out  or again meeting at a restaurant.

It was a good time and Jim is right we need to do it again soon.
