Yep I cut mine at 45 angles. When you cut them the plastic is black under the chrome so I paint the black with silver paint. The black would stick out like a sore thumb but if you paint it silver you never see it. It is too easy and looks great

That's a great idea that you put into action using the polished aluminum bar stock, I'll have to remember that.

Hey just to let you guys know I stopped by the body shop and got some clips
from them and they do work smile I'll post pictures tonight.  biggrin

Pictures of the clip and of the trim on the front of the machine
I really like these clips they pulled the trim up tight.
I know it is hard to really get a good look at the trim but it turned out
looking really good.
 Lots of parts to send off to get chromes and nickel plated.
