Those are the measurements of the new sign, but the opening is larger than that.  How is this possible?!?!?!?

Good question,  oh       I have a Vendo 90 the same as yours and the sign measurment is the same as what was stated. I will try and get a measurement of the frame that I have and let you know so we can find out where the problem is.

Ok that would be great... and now I have another update.  It looks like my dimensions are different for height and width.  My old one was 10 1/8 high by 16 1/8 wide.

I feel like I'm in deep here.

I checked the service manual only to find the lighted sign listed as one unit. There was no measurements or even a break down of the parts for the light-up marquee...
It does look as if someone has altered the lighting/wiring... I was hoping the manual would list/show a parts break down associated with the light-up sign...

My six cents,

I have had several V90's and the sign frame is a separate piece from the light housing. Also on an original V90 sign frame the silver frame is thicker than yours so that is how it holds the frame. I think there is a tutorial on how to make a new frame. You can go to a frame shop and have a new aluminum frame made quite easily that will make the sign fit.
